“I was stuck in the same mindset of feeling anxious and unprepared during race days…With [Cole’s] specific workouts and suggestions, it created a huge mindset change…If you want to feel ready, and not just hopeful, Cole is the guy for it.” — Katin Mitchell (October 2025)

“Beyond the physical aspects, Cole’s unwavering support, motivation, and belief in my potential have inspired me to push my limits. Cole’s coaching has not only enhanced my cycling performance but has also reignited my passion for the sport.” — Soroush Shahriari (2024)

“Training with Cole was an eye-opening experience that showed me just how easy it can be to get back in shape when you follow the right approach—rather than the generic digital training plans out there.” — Juan Ruiz (February 2025)

“Most importantly, Coach Cole is a friendly, approachable person, which I think is the most essential quality for a coach. I felt like I could be honest with him about my progress and I did not feel like I had to hide being stressed or overwhelmed.” — Julianna Ko (2023)

Who This Is for

This is for you if:

  • You’re 20–50, competitive by nature, and cycling is your outlet.

  • You have a career, family, and a full calendar. Quitting life to “train like a pro” is not an option.

  • You’ve wondered, “What could I actually do if I trained properly?” but never had a real chance to go all‑in.

  • You’re tired of getting spit out the back, watching younger riders ride away, and telling yourself “I’m just too old / too busy.”

  • You want a clear, realistic path to: Race podiums and big event finishes you’re proud of

Not for you if:

  • You’re not competitive or don’t have a concrete goal in the next 2–6 months.

  • You refuse to follow any structure.

  • You’re looking for a $50/month generic training plan you’ll ignore anyway.

Why Capacity Coaching Exists

We exist to help competitive working professionals live like athletes again—intentional, balanced, and driven—without pretending cycling is their full‑time job.

Most riders try to fix their fitness by just pushing harder, or they follow a coach who hands them a “pro” plan and says, “this is the only way.” That might work for new riders and full‑time athletes. For you, it just creates burnout, guilt, and plateaus.

Our philosophy is simple: you don’t need a perfect training block, you need a coach who can navigate real life with you. Meetings run late, kids get sick, travel blows up your week. Rather than stress about scheduling and how you’re going to fit in your workouts, you just tell us what changed, we adjust the plan, and you stay on track.

Endurance sport gave our team more than fitness—it gave us direction, structure, and real self‑worth. Capacity Coaching exists to give you the same: a clear path, a coach in your corner, and proof your best days on the bike are still ahead of you.

How Our Coaching Works

  1. Apply

Tell us about your goals, current fitness, schedule, and what keeps getting in the way.

  2. Free 20 Minute Planning Call

We cover how to overcome your #1 constraint, then map your next 12 weeks around work, family, and events. If we don’t think we can get you meaningfully closer to your goal, we’ll tell you.

  3. Kickoff & Buildout

We do a 60‑minute deep dive to learn about your lifestyle, schedule, and where training fits. Then I build a custom 12‑week plan, load it into TrainingPeaks, plug you into the Cultivating Capacity community, and give you clear priorities for each week.

  4. You Execute, We Adjust, You Stay On Track

Attend weekly calls and message your coach when life gets messy with travel, sick kids, late‑night projects etc. Instead of guessing, you tell us what changed and we’ll adjust the plan so you stay on track seamlessly without burning out.

No generic plans. No “just ride more” advice. Just a coach who knows how to walk the line between peak performance and real‑life balance.

Investment

Most athletes invest between about $70 and $108 per week, depending on support level and program features.

On the free planning call we’ll recommend the least expensive option that you need to hit your goals.

  • Who qualifies

    • Serious cyclists only. Only applies to your first Peak Capacity 12‑week plan with us. Paid‑in‑full. No pauses/cancellations/chargebacks. Not for pros (ask about 1-on-1).

    • Required devices: working HR monitor + cycling power meter.

What “wheel-fast” / “measurably faster” means (any ONE qualifies)

    • FTP: +5% OR +0.25 W/kg. vs. Week‑1 baseline (same protocol/device)

    • Time trial: −2% time on a matched 20–40 min flat loop (same route/position/tires & pressure; comparable weather).

    • Matched workout efficiency: same NP with ≥3 bpm lower avg HR, or +3% NP at same avg HR (±3 bpm).

    Compliance (95% to qualify)

    • Upload every ride to TrainingPeaks same day (HR + power).

    • Miss ≤ 5 prescribed sessions over 12 weeks.

    • “As prescribed” = within ±5% power targets and ±10% time‑in‑zone.

    • Complete baseline + Week 4, 8, and 12 tests (same device/route or indoors for apples‑to‑apples).

    • Support is optional unless progress stalls: if a Week 4 or Week 8 re‑test shows no improvement by our “wheel‑fast” criteria and you’re ≥95% compliant to that point, attend one live Q&A, make a forum post seeking guidance or request a 10‑minute plan tune‑up via email or DM within 7 days to keep the guarantee active.

    • Plan edits must be coach‑approved in advance.

    Compliance Notes for Clarity:

    1. “No improvement” = you don’t hit any “wheel‑fast” thresholds at that checkpoint (e.g., +5% FTP, −2% TT time, or +3% NP at same HR).

    2. Screenshot Q&A attendance as proof. Forum posts & tune‑up requests are already timestamped/logged in your community account or email as proof

    Exclusions

    • Injury/illness preventing training/tests; missed check‑ins; device failure/corrupted/missing data; unlogged sessions; ignoring coach guidance; non‑payment/chargebacks; major equipment/fit changes mid‑block that invalidate comparisons (e.g., aero position change) unless we re‑baseline.

    How to claim

    • Email your coach or support within 7 days of Week 12 completion. We’ll send a 1‑page claim form.

    • Provide TrainingPeaks access + device IDs. Review within 14 business days; we share the data decision.

    Remedy

    • Approved claims: 100% refund to original method + $2,000 via ACH within 14 business days (may require W‑9/1099). One claim per customer.

    Legal

Why Work With Us
(Instead Of Just “Training Harder”)

Most cyclists are chasing “the secret”: a magic interval set, a fancy recovery routine, some pro‑only hack that will launch their fitness into the stratosphere.

Racing on the UCI Continental circuit and working under the Performance Director of UAE Team Emirates taught me the truth: that “secret” doesn’t exist. The best riders in the world aren’t doing mystical workouts. They’re mastering the basics and executing them relentlessly inside a system that fits their life. That’s the real secret.

And that’s what we build for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No. Cole is a university head coach, but most of our coaching clients are 20–50 with full‑time jobs and families. You’re not crashing a college program by working with us.

  • Most riders we coach train 5–10 hours per week. If you can consistently hit that range and we’re realistic about your goals, we can make meaningful progress.

  • That’s normal and exactly what we help our athletes with. When work, travel, or family responsibilities blow up your week, you tell us what changed and we adjust the plan. You don’t have to figure it out alone.

  • Coaching is delivered online through TrainingPeaks, calls, and the community. In‑person rides and skill clinics are a bonus if you’re in the area, not a requirement.

Content covering any coaching insights during the rides/clinics will be posted as well to make sure no one misses out.

  • You’ll answer a short application, and if it looks like you’re fit, you’ll be redirected to book a 20 minute planning call.

If it’s not a fit, we’ll point you toward better options and free resources. No spam, no pressure.

  • If you have a clear goal, a bike, and 5–10 hours a week, you’re ready enough!

Coaching exists to solve the “I’m not good enough / I’m too old” problem, not wait until it disappears.
